CANGO CAVES | OUDTSHOORN | GARDEN ROUTE | SOUTH AFRICA
Plan a day trip to Oudtshoorn and the CANGO CAVES, one of the worlds great natural wonders, sculptured by nature through the ages - fascinating limestone formations in a wide variety of colours. This underground wonder world has the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations.
In totality, the extensive system of tunnels and chambers in the Cango Caves stretch for over 4 kilometres, but the section open to visitors is about a quarter of this. The dripstone caverns open into vast halls of towering stalagmite formations with names like ‘the bridal couple’, ‘glass flower fantasy’, ‘weird cango candle’ and ‘the hanging shawl’. Trained guides are at hand to conduct you along the magic paths of the world's finest stalactite cave.
